My Dad always thought Olivia de Havilland was one of Hollywood's most beautiful leading ladies and a very good actress.
Two films I particularly like of hers which aren't shown much are:
The Heiress with Montgomery Cliff. It is set in the mid 1800s in New York City and My Cousin Rachel with her and Richard Burton. It is a gothic tale by Daphne du Maurier and is set in 1840s. This film won academy award for best costumes.
As an aside did you know Olivia de Havilland and Joan Fontaine were sister.
Her sister, Joan was the lead in Rebecca another great adaption of Daphne du Maurier book.
