I bought the Euroarms Naval Rifle yesterday, for various reasons. With 1:66 rifling, will I be better off with PRB or is there a Minie available? Also, anybody have an owners manual they can email me? Looked online but can't seem to find one. Tks.

A one in 66" twist is about the most forgiving there is. It will shoot a PRB very accurately, and will do the same with a minie ball. The old standby Lyman mould #575213 is one of the very best you can use. Depending on exactly what diameter the bore is, and what diameter bullet the mould will produce, you may, or may not, have to buy a sizing die. Once you have a bullet that fits the bore, then the powder charge comes into play. I'm sure you will do just fine with a bit of experimentation!

Before you buy a mold, or pre made Minnie bullets, find out exactly what you bore diameter is. Any Minnie Balls you get will need to be 1-2 thousandth's under the bore size.

With all due respect to Mr. Dally, the projectile does not have to be under bore size. The minie ball I shoot will just slightly engrave the rifling on the bullet when it enters the muzzle. It will not slide down a clean barrel, and has to be pushed down with the ram rod for every shot. I have fired a 49 - 3 X on a N-SSA 50 yard target, off hand, at 50 yards. Yes, the N-SSA will sell targets to anyone.

Red plastic Cap Plugs! Powder first into the tube, bullet next, nose first, with Crisco filling the base cavity and also into the exposed grooves of the Minie Ball. Yes, I know Mr. Southron disagrees with the use of Crisco, but I've only had 4 "preemies" in 50 + years of shooting thousands upon thousands of rounds out of Civil War muskets.

OK, Got 30 .575 Minie balls,100 Hornady .58 caliber lead balls sized .570 and a bag of .010 patches, powder, caps, measure, short starter, cleaner and a date to meet my father at his range tomorrow. Still looking for anybody with a manual.

How often do I need to remove the breech plug to clean? And while I'm asking, WHERE and WHAT is the breech plug exactly?

You may not be able to remove the breechplug, as most I have encountered are tight, enough to make the effort of taking them out not worth the trouble.
Clean you weapon just like they did back then. I think it worked OK for those boys in the ranks. It works for me. you need a "Worm, or Wiper" Cleaning instructions are at the bottom of page 19...
