In my hunting around the Interwebs for information on Henry Walke, I've bumped into a few notations that seem to imply that there are some naval small arms that have some sort of inspection mark by him (but not knowing much about small arms, it's not something that I've found comprehensible). I presume this would likely have been in the 1850s at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, where he was stationed a few times at the receiving ship there, or possibly when he skippered the supply ship USS Supply immediately before the war... I'd be interested in anything anyone might know about this.
