Its a model 1840 artillary but there are things I like about it and many I don't. I only paid 60 bucks so if it is a fake I can still get my money back and maybe make a ten spot for a wall hanger. It has no markings I can find on it. The scabbard looks not well made to me. The blade does not look right. the brass handle and wire don't look too bad. I believe it to be old, at least 50 years or so. Not sure if they made replicas like this in the 60s

In my humble opinion is, the only thing you are missing is the "Made in India" marking, but $60 is actually pretty good for one of those........

I had a guy from a civil war sword and arms shop say its an old repro. I will sell if for 80 bucks on my etsy site and that is a fair deal for all. I bought it as a repro because it did not look right. The only thing that looks a bit good was the grip and handle.

I bought one exactly like that online a few years ago. It was being sold as an antique child's version of an artillery sword. When it arrived it didn't look like a child's version, it looked like a very poor reproduction of a real artillery sword. This is not a British sword type yet it has the spear point of a British blade. The ricasso, unstopped fuller, and beginning of the blade edge look like a blade from India. The disk end on the quillon being egg-shaped instead of round and the total mismatch between the end of the knuckle bow and the pommel don't look like any real artillery sword that I have seen. It's not French, German, U.S., or Confederate as far as I know. It's not a one-off due to damage in service because mine looks identical. It could be used for re-enactments but it handles like a piece of re-bar with a handle rather than a real sword; but if it breaks you don't have the guilt of damaging a real one. The one I bought came with a repro scabbard with the wrong throat, which also was a tip off.
