Ammo Help with bullets

Hello I got all of these bullets in a trade and I was wondering if anyone could help me determine if any are rare or confederate

Need to see some better photos to include the bases but I do see 36 & 44 cal pistol bullets. Spencer, a Williams cleaner round, a few Enfileds and the very dark one looks likes a 69 cal triangle base. Plus some good old fashion yankee 3 ringers.

When you are Id'ing bullets the base is VERY important part of telling just what they are as there were over 400 different bullets used during the CW. Might I suggest.

About what I said earlier. I should have been more specific. The bullet, then the base as we don't know which base goes to which bullet. Never mind it will be easier for me to buy you the book

Pic 3 all are basic three ringers .58-.69 with exception of the second from the right which is a Williams Cleaner. The two on the bottom are the same from pic 1. The other two bullets you have which are not shown in these three pics were a Sharps Carbine and a Spencer Carbine.
The best bullet in your lot would have been the Enfield Lube Groove if it had not been fired.

Thanks. I have McKee & Masons book but it is quite out of date. The Roundball to Rimfire series is excellent. I have many more bullets in my collection and as you certainly know most types are fairly common. I luckily have about 30-40 bullets that are really rare. My rarest is The Shaler in the Riker mount in my photo which is a .54 caliber and is one of two known examples in that caliber.

I have many more bullets in my collection and as you certainly know most types are fairly common. I luckily have about 30-40 bullets that are really rare. One thing you have to remember is that when I started digging in the 70's there were no books on this stuff and no interweb thing either so you did not know what you had when it came to the strange and unusual. A lot of different bullets were found and as time marched on we learned that different area's of the country produced different types etc.

If were doing show and tell here is my rarest. CS 69 cal exploding bullet VERY RARE. It is listed in M&M book.

I would really like a us sword form the 1840s-50s but anything made before 1864 in my budget I would consider will you be at the show I'll be there on sauterday
