Max miller makes some great videos, he goes into great length about the history and how it was made during the period. I made some ships biscuits a while back using his video and they turned out awesome. If I recall correctly it was the royal navy's formal recipe from 1812.

I really enjoy his videos. That dish looks god awful but when needs must it would keep you on the march.
