If you all think that's bad, you ought to see Rick Revel's "paintings" for his Jack Hinson novel. I'll start a full thread on this someday.

Why is Snidely Whiplash visiting the cemetery? By the way, Revel needs to be careful about copyright. IIRC, the Hinson "novel" was written a several years ago. You know the one - Jack single-handedly takes out the entire Navy with his rifle. Surprising that in WWII the IJN didn't adopt those tactics at Midway.

I just noticed something...

So he was -27 when he died?

Serious question (picture 1): Was Jackson a drinker? For some reason, that doesn't seem right.

Not serious question (picture 2): Is the Lady of the Lake giving Jackson Excalibur as the King who returned in the Confederacy's time of need or is this after Chancellorsville and he's crossing over the river to rest in the shade of the trees on the Isle of Avalon after it was thrown in and she caught it? I have no idea about the livestock.

I had the mental rust to try and look at more of his paintings, and I regretted it instantly:

The second one raises all sorts of questions - starting with a grinning Stonewall taking seven sheep somewhere in a row boat. I'm not sure what you have to be on to come up with this concept for a painting and I'd prefer not to find out ...

Good questions but I have larger, "big picture" questions. For starters, does anybody actually buy this stuff?
