Going to Gburg

Was lucky to detour a trip & spend this past Friday night in GB! Arrived after 5:00, town was quiet. Back on the road 10:00am Saturday, but was able to drive through parts of the Battlefield that were opened (my detour to GB was to see if I could get up to LRT). What caught my attention, was how clear you could see the summit of BRT!

Even a short trip is better than no trip!

Today was a great day to be in Gburg. Clear skies, temps in 40's, very few visitors was the best part.😄
On the way home, my wife said we should stayed another night! But even with few visitors, the cost to be a tourist, is not cheap, between hotel and dining!

Sorry I'm not in town Cav. Still, some of us could have a 'meet and greet' that would be fun to try. I'm presently 2 +15 away in Delaware County outside Philly and get over very often with family still living there. Just a thought. Have fun.
Cool. I also live in Delaware County (near Newtown Square). It's nice to be within a day's drive.

I'm in Ridley Twp and just up your way four days ago at the VA Clinic on West Chester Pike. I imagine if we mention it every couple weeks we'll get people interested (keep it active to see if they are) in meeting at a place that might manage 10-20 of us. It's doable if the interest is there.

I'm actually in Edgmont Twp. and live across the pike from that clinic (10 minute walk). Keep in touch --Mike.

I'm hoping to get down for the day in the next couple of weeks. I want to walk down along the Plum Run Valley in the footsteps of Willard's counterattack on July 2. It's been a very long time since I've done that and want to do it while the ground is still hard and the cold may keep the ticks down.
