Crime intrudes into Gettysburg's plans.

"GETTYSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) - A second person has been taken into custody following a police incident where a car crashed into a Gettysburg home this afternoon.

"Police confirmed the second arrest shortly after 5 p.m.

"Officials are also reporting that the parade that was scheduled for 7 p.m. today has been canceled, the Hanover Evening Sun reported. The fireworks, scheduled for 10:30 p.m. will go on as scheduled."

Update:

"The Gettysburg's Independence Day Parade has been canceled due to a lack of law enforcement resources, not as result of public safety concerns, according to Carl Whitehill of the Gettysburg Convention & Visitors Bureau."
