I love the third picture. The guy in the Eagles T-shirt is a good friend of mine, John Malone. Known him for 15 or more years. Walked the field many a time with him. He looks so serious in this picture. I wonder what John Hoptak said to make him look so serious. I am going to have to share this one with his wife. Some pics from the 9 am Stony Hill program:

I will be there with the unit for July 27 & 28: Gettysburg Artillery Living History. (Gettysburg, PA) National Park Service event at Pitzers Woods. Firing demonstrations and camp life.
Spectacular! Gettysburg is next on my list.
Yes it was! Front and center. Are there any pictures of you?@infomanpa wait was that you right in front of me??

Thanks. Yes, I used my 6 year old Samsung Galaxy phone. Once phone cameras became so good, I stopped using my dedicated digital camera.infomanpa....thanks for posting these. Nicely done and a great room! And to you 4thMichigan. Are you both getting these great shots with a cell phone? Thanks. They are beautiful.
I just upgraded to a Motorola Razr 2023-Flip after 6 years of the same phone you have. Served me well as I think all Samsung products do.Thanks. Yes, I used my 6 year old Samsung Galaxy phone. Once phone cameras became so good, I stopped using my dedicated digital camera.
!), facing SSW to the Round Tops. Right about Evergreen Cemetery. The National Cemetery is relatively flat even though it is at the top of Cemetery Hill. In contrast, Evergreen Cemetery is more steep in spots on the south end.I just upgraded to a Motorola Razr 2023-Flip after 6 years of the same phone you have. The photo of Evergreen Cemetery at the mausoleums is where our family plot is, 20 yards to the right. It's a great spot to enjoy now ( !!), facing SSW to the Round Tops.
More relevant to the battle, Evergreen is an important location in itself to walk, to get the entire view of just how sprawling and elevated Cemetery Hill is. You cannot see or understand the enormity and strength of the hill only viewing and walking the Soldiers National Cemetery and Easy Cemetery Hill. The hill is a fortress, with unobstructed views at every compass point. Awesome.
Still reviewing your videos of 'Gettysburg' that are fun and well done.
Just reviewing old posts and wanted to say these shots are particularly beautiful 4thMichigan. Sach's bridge and Marsh Creek are post cards! This area behind Longstreet's corps west of Eisenhower's Farm is especially attractive down on the creek. It's a great place to find things being the rear of the corps line with artillery parks and hospitals. A lot of cavalry (Buford, others) activity too just a little off the beaten path.More images from my recent visit to Gettysburg...

Quiet indeed!! I camped out in a cemetery once. Slept very well. One last picture....while at the Comfort Suites hotel, I asked for a room with peace and quiet. I was pleased that I heard no noise from my neighbors and when I woke up and looked out the window, I realized why.
