The 6th Ohio Cavalry will be there, and my eldest son is hoping to be there with them. He, however, has been ill and had surgery this spring, so his participation is still a bit "iffy."

So sorry to hear your son had to have surgery. Didn't know your son was with the 6th Ohio Cavalry! Will he be making to it Hale Farm?

We won't know which Western Reserve battery our contingent will be assigned to until we get there next week, but I'm not changin' out the "G" and "2" brass on my kepi. Our gun has a period inscription; either "Molly" or "Mary" depending on which one unloads first from the bus, if you'd like to check it out.

I dont think you will need to worry. Unless there is something that must be changed, our Capt. does not like to change drills. We feel it is more of a danger when a gun crew must concentrate on changes to their drill.

I just noticed there are 2 concerts - we should prob. meet up at the 2nd South Carolina String band concert at 9:00 - with a 6:00 battle, 7:30 might be pushing it, especially for artillery
