Gettysburg 2016: After Action Reports

View attachment 112232

This is the guy who had his sword taken away because he was naughty, so he picked up a hatchet and carted that into battle and did something good in the battle so he got his sword back. I remember all that, but not his name! I think it was on Hoosier's tour that we learned of this fellow. You can see the hatchet sticking out from under his foot. Does anyone remember his name? Was this where the term "hatchet job" came from?

Capt. Stephen Brown

Stragglers in the attack on at Cemetery Hill! And this was on the flat part!

How's this for ridiculous. I still have the banner you folks were kind enough to give me spread out on my floor. Love the nice words you all wrote. I still have the unused itineraries and tour maps in a box that are now useless. It's hard to put them away!

I still have the Lee-Jackson poster, though it's become more of a problem than I anticipated- it's BIGGER than I realized and the frame I have I wanted to use won't work! (I mailed it home to myself Monday morning and it was waiting for me by the time I got back.) Thanks again!
