Found this blanket....

anybody got any sort of info?

I was told this was a civil war blanket, trying to figure out what i can.
 
To me (I AM NOT AN EXPERT), it looks too new. I mean, even if it was kept in storage for years and years and years one would think the threads would be a bit more faded than they are. Just my ignorant two cents! Waiting on someone to prove me wrong :P
 
I would have to say most likely not Civil War era... Appears to be made of a light weight and course weave cotton-cotton, or cotton-wool warp.... somewhat similar to the jean cloth fabric of the civil war era but much more course/loose weave... something not normally used for and far too light weight for military use blankets. The chevron logo in the center appears to be machine stitched... most likely a company logo of some sorts.... an airline, cruise ship, moving company light weight coverlet blanket.... nothing military that Ive ever seen...

It feels like cotton wool, heres a close up of the chevron

If you think this blanket belonged to a veteran it may be possible he had it made years after the war, maybe for use at a veterans reunion. Just speculation on my part.
