Found money in book

Some fools in the Government here "decided" that in a show of kinship and support for our European friends and a tentative nod to today's noisome Globalization that the U.S. would also convert to the metric system. This stupidity occurred after I had left my primary education so I now no longer remember exactly when it was, but after a very few years of total indifference by the general population it was allowed to quietly die the death it so richly deserved!
Good job to, its a complete pain, I'm of the age where I'm finding it difficult to convert to metric, the problem being that many people use a mixture of the two (Imperial/Metric)
Here's a little explanation on what we have had to put up with.

We supposedly did the same thing as this when it was "decided" on - the only trouble for the bureaucrats was that everyone else besides them totally ignored the metric parts and just continued expressing everything as they always had!

I have several Confederate dollars in different denominations they are getting harder and harder to find and when you do be prepared to pay a nice little price for them.. But I believe one of our guys got it right when he said give away from a cereal box when I think of all the bills the Northern soldiers used to keep warm if they only know someday that Confederate, dollar would be worth more than a northern dollar bill.

These were actually bills from the Centennial and came in a packet and sold at most National Parks (ACW); I can remember my mom taking them and staining a board and then varnishing the board over the bills so that they stuck and then were covered by the shellac (multiple coats). Although this was in the 70s; the bills had a long run in the gift shops.
