I recently acquired a collection from an avid metal detector relic hunter. Mostly bullets and cannonball pieces, but some things I can't identify. I thought maybe this group could help. It is some kind of scoop or measure about 6 inches long. It is constructed of two pieces and has the initials "T.M.C." on the back. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Sort of reminds me of a lead bullet ladle but doesn't have the spouts on either side. I assume that that hole is just where it rusted out? Just a guess.
Yes, hole is where it rusted out. Metal is not cast iron like a lead ladle. I have a few of those. The handle and rusted out parts are thinner steel and the circular part seems like cast iron. Thanks for the guess. It made me go back and look at the type of metal.
