Found another shoebox!!!

Hope all those affected by the hurricane are safe and sound.
Found another shoebox in this mess.
2 bullets in wood from Chan'ville via Stan Phillips..I see they are drying out...yikes.
A good rifle tool and a super pulled bullet that is HUGE and the tool must have gotten too hard to pull out and the while thing got pitched at Harpers Ferry.
A small stack of matches.
8 second fuses
2 chewed bullets from the hospital site at 2nd Manassas before it got sold to NPS on the gross boondoogle.
I do like the watch fob with mechanical pencil and photo of husband and wife. The officer was either a Major or Lt Col...maybe you know him. It is very worn on one side where it rubbed for years...cool.
The donut candlestick missing its twin.
A artillery hat brass that is complete.
2 wrapped rounds ons of which looks like buck and ball.
A few other smalls.
I do like a shoebox discovery.

Another nice group and thats a Williams cleaner bullet, which is ironic as they were suppose to clean the bore so finding one on the bullet puller is neat.

That must have been one dirty gun that would jam up a Williams...I thought a Cleaned had an odd bottom like a pedestal?

Those look like caltrops? anti-cavalry horse cripplers? There's a previous thread here. I found only one account describing a caltrop-like device reported in period newspapers. General consensus among historians is that they were not used, or not used extensively, during the American Civil War. Still interesting that they are found in the shoe box.
