Just finished cleaning up this general service eagle button I found in Vicksburg over the weekend. Sometimes it's hard to believe that relics from the war are still popping up, but it just goes to show the vast numbers of soldiers that were here during the campaign and siege.

Nice. I remember during the 2019 CWT Muster in Vicksburg, you and I were driving somewhere and you saw a lot where construction was going on and only the dirt work had been done. You said somebody needed to sweep it. It's probably that simple sometimes.

Sweet find! I'd love to get out there and try to find my own relic one day.
