Found this button in confederate camp I can make out super fine on back nothing on front.

Nice pre war 1850's civilian button. Fronts are usually blank but can sometimes have floral patterns etc... mostly likely a solider was wearing it but impossible to prove. Looks like the shank is in great shape! Awesome find!

Yea my son dug that at our confederate camp first one like that hoping to get out next weekend the rain is finally stopping should be good digging next weekend.

Yes, please keep us posted, to get more info on the backmarks, you might try sprinkling a little talcum or baby power and wipe off with finger. Looks to be an import but cannot be sure.
