It is the last one with the lettering readable from the outside

That nails it down to the one below. "D. EVANS & CO. / ATTLEBORO" dm on a ribbon with flower, inscription runs counter clockwise flower is at the top, backmark is transitional, manufacture 1860's and continued after the Civil War.

Nice button! That's a school button with a great history attached to it. Love that gold gilt!
