This recipe is from "Old Time Recipes To Enjoy", "The Kentucky Explorer Magazine". April 2016.

Dried Beef Casserole

One cup of onions, four ounces of dried beef, one-fourth cup of hot fat (bacon drippings are good), one-fourth teaspoon of salt, two tablespoons of flour, two cups of sliced carrots, two cups of diced potatoes, two cups of water, and one beef bouillon cube. S

Though the name of the recipe, "Dried Beef Casserole," kind of gave me pause, since I immediately imagined a beef casserole all dried up. On the other hand, "Casserole Made Using Dried Beef" would be too long a name to write at the top of the recipe's index card.
