Drab Wool Slouch Hats

Gentlemen,
Does anyone know a good place to get 100% wool drab (or at least drab-colored) slouches? I know other types of fur such as are used by the high-end hatters make a higher-quality hat that lasts longer, but would be interested in replicating a domestic produced rebel hat. (Modern bands, ribbons, &c. can be replaced)

Thank you,
D.H.

If nobody knows a good source for wool hats, I have a different question.
Is "Clearwater Hats" still in business? Their website seems to not to have been updated in a while...
If so, is the quality good? What felt type is used? What colours are available?

I don't really need a hat at the moment, but my current is starting to show wear so eventually will have to be replaced.

Thank you,
D.H.

Nick Sekela makes a great Jean Wool slouch in two colors. Mine is the Tan Jean. Excellent quality. Worth every penny.

I would look at Tim Bender's "bowler crown" in "Sahara" - comes pretty close to drab. Check with Dave Hunter for absolute surety.

I've bought hats for myself and two sons from Clearwater, Tim Bender, and Dirty Billy. All are great suppliers to our hobby. It'd be hard to recommend one over another. I saw Clearwater in a sutler tent at the Pea Ridge reenactment in northern Arkansas, last September. They appeared to be going strong. The hat I'm wearing in my little thumbnail image here is a Clearwater tan.
