Miniatures CSS Baltic in 1/600 scale

The "White Elephant of Mobile" herself, sputtering down the Tombigbee at a blistering walking pace! I made this model from a 3D printed game piece designed by Eastcoast Ironclads which I altered a bit with some spare photo etch.

Question for my own knowledge, tree scale and materials used?

Very nice. I am envious for two reasons. I do not have that kind of talent and my disastrous attempt to build Revell's HMS Dreadnaught in 1:600 showed me that my eyesight isn't what it was.

Question for my own knowledge, tree scale and materials used?
The trees are actually some cheap green flocking material I bought at a hobby store. Personally I think they make terrible bushes (that's what they're intended for) but at 1/600 scale I think they make pretty convincing trees. Other than that I used AK Interactive's terrain paste for the river bank and used hot glue to form the texturing in the water. I'll link a video I made that shows what process I used for the water. Hope this helps 👍🏻

Yes, those trees are not convincing. But at 1/600 they look very nice. Thanks for the info and video. Plus I just subscribed to your YouTube channel. I have a channel also, same user name as on here.

Thanks!

I appreciate your kind words, and I'll have to go subscribe to your channel. Hopefully you post more frequently than I do
