Fort Sabine in 1/72 Scale

Looks really great. I hope figures are coming soon.

i like how your engineers were too lazy to cut off the planks to a uniform length.
Ah, but that's the beauty - there were no engineers at Fort Sabine, and it was not built by any military or scientific doctrine. And only one of the commanders had any military experience whatsoever. It was an effort by the local people to take responsibility for their own defense, as their pleas to CS authorities went unanswered for the first year of the war. It wasn't until after the arrival of Prince John in Texas that Sabine Pass was defended by a properly-built fortification (Fort Griffin).

I've always wanted to recreate one of the river "forts" at Grand Gulf, Mississippi.
(about 15 miles down river from Vicksburg).
They did seriously mess up the Union Navy's original plans !

:bounce:

20 years ago, I was pretty good with recreating simple Afrika Corps infantry bunkers.
Cardboard, glue, sand and about four bottles of paint for the figures and weapons was all required.
( apologies if I mentioned that before)

But that doesn't come close to your talent.
