Confederate Enfield?

No other marks than the ones I posted. I don't know what spring retainers for the bands means.
Are the bands just tightened by screws or are they screwless and held in place by long thin springs set into the stock Like the M1855? (associated with the Enfield P53 type 2).

Please give us a photo of the top of the breech too.
 
The breech is the end of the barrel opposite the hammer. The breech a continualtion of the bore but is unrifled and often a slightly smaller bore than the barrel and just long enough to take a full charge of black powder. (Same place you would put a cartridge in a breechloader) Photo to show:
