Confederate capture markings

Has anyone here ever seen an L confederate capture marking?

The photo is from an Allan conversion trapdoor rifle chambered in 50-70

1864 Trenton stock Cartouche | Small Arms & Ammunition

Hi folks. I have an 1864 Trenton musket and it has a set of letters stamped in the bottom of the stock, just aft of the trigger guard. It appears to be "GOK." Has anyone seen this before? I'm just wondering if that is someone's initials or it is a factory stamp. Also the barrel does not have...
