This is a 12 lb Artillery shell with the mold seam typical of Confederate manufacture which has the tapered fuse hole for the wooden adapter. The shell measures 4.5 inches in diameter and the fuse hole measures 15/16 inch. It has a painted number that I believe is an inventory number from a previous collection. I purchased it at an auction of a long time collection spanning 3 generations. Price reduced to $175 plus shipping, but willing to consider offers. If you would be interested in seeing it in person, I will attend the Militaria Show of Shows in Louisville next month and can take it with me. I haven't done any trades on CWT, but here is my feedback profile on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/fdbk/feedback_profile/robcox1 I have tried just listing it there, but apparently it violates their crazy policies.View attachment 344505View attachment 344506View attachment 344507
