Comprehensive Unit List?

It would have to be updated constantly. I know over the past few years here in Texas we have had a good number of units just kind of faded away...some I was glad to see go!

The 1st Maine Cavalry has a pretty large list, sorted by the state represented by the unit (as opposed to location- I know there's a 20th Maine in Washington state, for example). I'm sure at least some of the links are out of date (and others are missing), but it's not a bad place to start. They appear to list any and all units, as well, so you won't be limited to just hardcore or mainstream units, but get the whole spectrum. I found the lack of any kind of comprehensive directory really frustrating when I was looking for a unit to join, but units come and go so frequently, you can see why keeping such a list up to date would be a somewhat thankless task.

Even if you use Cleburne's registration list -- that doesn't include those groups 'independent' and those who are with the GAC....

I think "King's Division" is in Texas....
