22nd Kentucky Reenactment Group

Wanted to get the word out, myself and a few others recently formed a new reenacting group, the 22nd Kentucky Infantry.



The 22nd KY is an authentic Union reenacting group based in Eastern Kentucky. We just formed the unit last month, so it'll take a little bit to get everything going smoothly.



But yeah, just wanted to get the word out. We're pretty excited about this, most events and units active in Eastern Kentucky are mainstream and lack authenticity standards. We're hoping to change that.

That's awesome! I've been researching this regiment for the past decade. There is a small thread on its history here and not too long ago a group reenacted the Battle of Middle Creek. I have a lot of info on the 22nd, so don't hesitate to reach out.

I have the descriptive list of Company K, the German company raised in Louisville. A lot of good biographical information there.

I only photographed that company's list from NARA. I'm assuming you have the info for the rest of the regiment? Would be interesting to compare to native companies

I have gone through every man's individual CSM and Misc file. I also have some translated letters to the German newspaper in Louisville.
