I really like the effect of colorizing historical images and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in colorizing one or more iconic images from the final days of Ulysses S. Grant or if they know if any already exist? Images could be used for interpretive purposes at US Grant Cottage Historic Site in Wilton NY. The following images are of interest....

The following images are for color reference:

Important note: The cushions on the furniture were originally a much bolder shade of blue.

Important note: The lattice work was most likely originally green like the porch deck. This can be seen in a painting done shortly after Grant's death. (for anyone concerned the stairs have been repaired since this photo.)
