I've been thinking lately...how many fully-clean-shaven generals were there?

The only ones I know of are:
Maj. Gen. John A. Wharton:

Maj. Gen. Sterling Price:

Maj. Gen. Joseph Hooker:

Maj. Gen. Wesley Merritt:

Any others?

I wish I had the picture on me, but there's a photo of Confederate General Patrick Cleburne clean shaven taken before the war. Apparently he did not grow out his "iconic" beard until after the Battle of Richmond, partly to cover up the scar left from the bullet that passed through his cheek.

At Franklin, five Confederate Generals were killed and another one was mortally wounded. Two of them were clean-shaven.

No, that was his name; his parents were avid States Rights-ers.

Additionally, after Colonel Henry A. Barnum was severely wounded at Malvern Hill, for some unexplained reason he named his son "Malvern Hill Barnum."

Pretty sure Pelham only made it to Lt. Colonel (posthumously maybe).

Also, seems to be a preponderance of Northern Generals. I guess the Confederate ship with the razor blades got caught in the blockade.

He was colonel of the 72nd but for less than a year. Col. Buckland became a Brigade commander in the 13th Corps (AOT) and was then promoted to brigadier on November 29,1862.
