I picked this up at an Upper New York state barn sale. It looks like some sort of shelf. It looks like there was a door on it at one time. Any information would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. It does look a bit like a Civil War field desk. Field desks were used in various war, but the more modern one and older ones are similar. I think you made a great find.

Believe it or not, I would recommend that you call Antique Archeology in Le Claire, Iowa. The American Pickers can either give you an appraisal or a name.
