For sale is a Civil War era blade I got from a Civil War estate. Do not see any markings on this piece. Scabbard has some dents but it is here and fits. $235 shipped Will take certified check, PO money order, or PayPal.

Best regards,

Bob

To help us with an ID and to help determine its provenance, could you tell us a little bit more about the Civil War estate it came from? Thanks.

He had a large collection and lived in the middle of N.C. He did reenacting also. I don't know his name but they have been auctioning off his estate over the last few months, I've been posting items I've had questions about and am selling some I don't have as much interest in. Examples of other things from his estate, he had quite a bit of everthing.
Best regards,
Bob

Number one looks like a hunting sword from early 1800's while number four looks like a cavalry saber from the Napoleonic - War of 1812 Era. Nice blades. Can't quite place the other blade you are selling.

The model 1860 Staff & Field officers sword is one on the most misunderstood swords in CW sword collecting. These swords were still made well into the late 1800's. Without any markings it is very hard to place these as used during the CW.
