Civil war ghosts

When you Bass fish, all night, alone, you realize there ain't no ghosts. There are, however,Coyotes and Falling Stars!

In my hometown there is supposedly one of the most haunted cemeteries in the Midwest (although because there's no way to quantify such a claim I've heard that about nearly every cemetery I think I've ever been to around here). Although the city is far from any battles, a railroad line frequently used for taking POW's and injured soldiers to Chicago from the Western theater battlefields passed right through it, and importantly, very near to this cemetery. Because of this it was a frequent stop for these trains to bury soldiers who died en route before reaching Chicago.

Local lore has it that some of the soldiers buried there were suffering from Yellow Fever which caused them to lose consciousness and appear dead but not always die (although I know nothing about its symptoms and that could be wrong…again this is just local legend). When the train would stop and they would unload the "dead" it is said that some of these poor fellows were just believed to be dead but hadn't actually died, and were subsequently buried alive. To this day there is supposedly a ghost of a CW soldier which walks the hills of the cemetery, lost and searching for his home, muttering things like "I want to go home. Where am I?" I have been there many times and have never seen him, but I do know locals who say they have. I don't believe in ghosts or the paranormal myself, but to be honest I've always wanted to see him so I could ask him a question or two about the war!
