Civil war flag

UCV Relics nailed it Randy.

I have several of these, made by a very nice lady from Eastern Tennessee, who would make a copy of any flag you wanted.

She sold them for what they were... modern copies at very good prices, at some of the bigger antique gun shows, especially the old Nashville show. She had no intention of deceipt.

They are excellent for displays, but are worth no more than what you would have paid her. Haven't seen her in years, but the flags still can be found.

Like all things Confederate and rare, Caveat Emptor.
 
Confederate flags and uniforms are a minefield for the unwary collector.
Below are a few photos of some of the "Bristol Flags" which Package4 and I mentioned above.

This, I hope, will keep you out of trouble on this type of flag. I don't recollect paying more than $200 for one including the frame and glass. They still appear on the popular auction sites with all sorts of ownership strings and provenance

Thanks - from these photos it's especially easy to see what was meant by the comments concerning the non-period style of lettering used on these fakes.
