This is a delicious cake to make. It is a favorite at Memaw's Cafe in Hickman, Ky. Also it is a favorite for many Church suppers.

For Cake:

1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
16 oz. Hershey's syrup
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup flour

For Frosting:

1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cups pecans, chopped

For the cake: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together butter, sugar and eggs. Add the remaining ingredients. Mix and bake in 9 x 13 inch greased pan for 30 to 40 minutes.

For Frosting: Boil butter, sugar and evaporated milk for 2 to 3 minutes. Add chocolate chips, vanilla and pecans. Beat and pour over warm cake. Let frosting set. Best to serve cake warm.

This is a chocolate lover's dream dessert.

Sounds yummy. I'd need a big cup of coffee to go along with it. The recipe reminds me more of a brownie than "cake"..
