Shades of Humphrey Bogart!

Oh yes ! The Caine Mutiny.
Great film - great performance by Bogey of a man going mad. Fred MacMurray cast against type, I thought, but plays the part of the devious, moral coward perfectly. We like him at first, but then his faults surface. Jose Ferrer, sees through the hypocrisy (and taught me something about US Navy flyers uniforms of the period; (I thought he was meant to be a Marine for a long time.)
Bogey and MacMurray deserved Best Actor and Best Supporting IMHO, but it was to be "On The Waterfront" that took so many awards that year. I know which I preferred, then and now !
Hollywood at its best.
