I cant believe it my kids had a good time I am going to search another erea tomorrow. These were all found in a 50 yard erea right in the middle of battle field next to river. These were in a field checking the other side of river tomorrow.
Which battle?

Found one more ,this morning and half of a old horse shoe. These were scattered out as if from being shot and this location is part of the battle of Carthage missouri there were several battles that occurred at different sites during this all day action. Did not find anything across the river but a bunch of buried trash its the flood plain side. These seem to be 1 inch may be a little bigger they are pitted badly.

Relics hunters don't give out the location of the search sites!!

Great find. Are these 1/2 inch dia?
"Which battle?" can cover a lotta ground. Besides,I assume it was on privately owned property which not just anyone has access to.

Oh, yes, the battle of Carthage. Maybe your canister was fired under the direction of Henry Guibor.

Here is canister shot cleaned and put some petroleum jelly on them to help preserve them. Is the bigger ball in picture grape shot its from this battle to it weighs about a pound has a seam and is about 2 inchs in diameter?
