I need help determining this man's name, as recorded in a hospital register book.
His first name is Thomas (Thos). His last name starts with a "D", but is unclear.

The second image is in the person's penmanship.

Anyway, all your contributions are appreciated.

First example: "Devens Thos" (perhaps "Devins")

Second example: "14 Devane Fran..?"

In the same handwriting ... but, are you sure they are the same man?
They are positively not the same man.
I used the second name simply for comparison, as they were written by the same man, and the last names are similar.

There is a Thomas Devane in the Confederate Citizens Files. It says there is a paper filed with the rolls of Co. G. H. 13/26 Ga. Case of Norris N. Geddins.

A Thomas Devane Confederate vet was from North Carolina.
