What is this? Can anyone identify this shell?

It appears to be the top 1/3rd of a 10# Read Parrott Shell which would have had a wooden fuze plug and a paper time fuze.
 
A Read Parrott would be Confederate.
It does look like a R-P. But I think you'd need to see more of the projectile (including the base) to be completely definitive about whether it's Confederate or Federal. The odds favor it being Confederate, though. Do we know where it was found?
