Calling All Southron

I read one book about a Confederate a long time ago, I can't really remember what it was called now, this was like 20 years ago, I think it had an interesting take on this.

The ex-soldier was speaking of another rebel who during the war was especially brutal and hate filled toward Union soldiers. He never wanted to take any prisoner and often killed helpless, wounded Yankees on the battlefields. Years later the writer walked into a bar to see the same rebel talking with two Union soldiers in uniform in a very friendly and easy manner. Shocked he pulled him to the side and asked him how he changed so much.

"Well, as I was heading home at the end of the war another Confederate was sitting on the side of the road and asked if I had any bacon. When I replied that I did he told me, "Well use it to grease yourself up 'cus we gotta slide right back into the Union.""

I do not know why you say this but I am insulted. It is obvious that such comments reflect the kind of Yankee indoctrination I referred to earlier. Also I note your location is 'yankee territory'. Is that troll sniping? Would it be if the location was 'CSA territory?'

To be clear, I am not looking to debate the evil of the North in the War of Northern Aggression and the destruction of the culture afterwards. I started a thread explicitly looking to call all Southron to support what I truly believe is a worthy cause. If you do not agree, you do not have to post in this thread. You do not have to close it either merely because you disagree with the premise of the thread. You do not have to call me names, e.g., troll, trash thread, etc.

Do you think rebels is the proper term for the secessionists, the Patriots who acted on the rights earned by their forefathers to alter or abolish their government?

All Southron? Are you including blacks as well or only white Southerners?

(a) what do you define as "Southron?"
(b) what do you define as "Deo Vindici?"
(c) why is it necessary to "advance" "Deo Vindici?" After "Deo Vindici?" is "advanced" what is the transformation that you hope to see?
