Calling All Southron

In point of fact, the Rebel's never ceased being American's, because they were never out of the Union. The Rebellion Failed, thus they remained mere Rebel's.
The right of The People to alter or abolish the gov't has always existed, even unto this very day It is just that it is not the perogative of the people of any one state.
Someone is certainly confounding living in a democracy with being a slave. Interesting viewpoint, but has no connection with any logical or reasonable definition of slavery, I know.
As a matter Fact, the only result of the Civil War's ending was Emancipation, with which the south was only reconciled with, when Reconstruction was aborted and the south was allowed to retain the forms of slavery, if not the institution, itself.
In any case, concerning this thread, I notice John Locke has not defined his phrase, nor d identified what exactly is "a worthy cause" he truly believes?

Great point! Do you know if there is a forum just for this purpose? I am familiar with the Southern League but wonder if there is more outreach channels.

I'll do some groundwork and let you know. Don't let the provincial nature of the responses have a material impact on the high level issues that you've addressed. I think the replies are mostly good for a laugh. I know a lot of the time I feel having a dialogue in this forum is like one hand clapping. Your posts and threads are excellent and really overloads the circuits of the yankees and their sympathizers. I only wish I could cover your flank more often. Remember Lee was a counter puncher like yourself.

What overloads our evil Yankee circuits are the constant posts with no supporting historical evidence and dressing up opinions as facts..

and All Southrons should be aware that what made the south's culture distinctive was slavery. So, in fact, JohnLocke is quite correct to believe the war destroyed the south's culture. Because Most, if not all, of those attributes of culture that are regarded as distinctively southern were slave based.

Would it be at all possible for you to turn your caustic bravo sierra down a little. Yes, we know that slavery existed in the south, and we know that the glorious yankee saints freed the slaves from the Simeon Lagree southern slave mongers... yea we get it...give it a flippin rest

Obviously, my comment about "All southrons should be aware..." implies that not all do. So my comment was directed to those who are explicitly looking to call all southrons to the support of the belief the cause of the csa was worthy, or the belief that part of the evil of the CW was the destruction of a culture, with no proof outside personal opinion. But to the extent that silence before such claims would be taken as proof that such opinions are of the same weight as opposing opinions based on historical evidence, they must be answered.
