Cook this cabbage and sausage in your Dutch Oven over a nice camp fire.

3 beers
1 cup water
3/4 head of cabbage
1/2 onion
1 to 2 kielbasa sausage
salt and pepper to taste
sugar to taste
16 ounce chicken broth

Bring beer and water to a boil. Cut cabbage, onion and sausage into desired size pieces and place in pot. Add seasonings and chicken broth. Cook until all is soft and tender.

Talk about an east European dish this has to be it.my preference for kielbasa is either fried or grilled or broiled in the oven, not sure if I would like it boiled.

This sounds pretty good. While I prefer my kielbasa fried or grilled, I will say it's still good boiled as I've had similar German style sausages boiled and they are still tasty. I think the beer, cabbage and chicken broth will definitely enhance the flavor of the boiled kielbasa.
