Interested in the Oval bore. Where any sent to America for the civil war? Are there any barrels available to purchase?

Yes. A very few found their hands into the Confederate army. Most known examples were discovered in Kentucky. {Orphan's Brigade}

I've never seen a Lancaster (Sapper's and Miners, or Royal Engineer's) barrel for sale. They were stamped "Lancaster's Patent" near the breech, 31 1/2 " length and nominal .577 caliber and had gain twist from breech to muzzle. Bayonet keyed lug on the right side, and the rear sight is reversed.

Way ahead of their time and very accurate.
