With fall here and the holidays approaching a wonderful drink is bourbon spiked apple cider. When it is damp and cold, this drink will add warmth and cheer to any party or gathering.

two 64 ounce bottles apple cider
2 tablespoons packed dark brown sugar
4 whole cloves
1/2 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
4 cinnamon sticks
1 1/2 cups bourbon

Mix all ingredient except bourbon in pot and bring to boil. Simmer for about 30 minutes. Remove cinnamon and cloves. Add the bourbon. Ladle into serving cups.

Good cheer to all!

That's about 10%bourbon so this should be a tasty adult drink.

Dang it, woman! First, you lure me with Hot Buttered Rum. Now, it's spiked apple cider. And with all those wonderful Fall-like spices I love so much. Those darn cloves are my favorite.

*folds arms and frowns*

...

*leaves to look for bourbon in the kitchen*

That sounds lovely, JD have just released something similar onto the Brit Market and its really very nice. I think I'd prefer to try the spiked apple cider, just right for a cold winters evening.
