Got a boroscope to see what is down the barrels of my small collection:

I am going to do all of them and will post the results in this thread.

The first and easiest is the Ottoman Empire 1700's pistol
There are some pics then the boroscope

This is from the M1816 dated 1838 Pomeroy.
I had previously gotten a patch out of there. The roundball is still stuck. The holes can be seen where I put my homemade ball puller in but so far, it is still jammed.

What kind of borescope did you get?
I got one that simply plugs in USB port and computer (some cell phones) will recognize it as a camera.
Teslong Borescope B.JPG

This consists of a electric cord with a connector on the end. A fibre-optics cable connects to the cord and has a fitting on the end with a 45-degree mirror. This allows you to look directly down on the bore. If you take off this mirror fitting, you can just peek down the bore. I bought the model that had a 48-inch long fibre-optics cable so I could inspect my long rifles.

Here are some sample photos. These are all Black Powder guns.
"Hawk" = .50 caliber Hawken Rifle - 36 years old
"Bed" = .36 caliber Pennsylvania Rifle - 30 years old
"Ruger" = .457 revolver pistol - 48 years old
"Dueling" = .50 caliber dueling pistol---brand new.

I have the DEPSTECH Wireless Endoscope, IP67. It also has the mirror, I haven't used that yet. This one works with a smart phone app. I am pretty happy with it so far. Was super easy to setup and get going. I don't know if this is a standard thing with all of them but you can take video and still shots of whatever you are boroscoping.

Mine is a TESLON.
What is odd is that they had different models with different lengths of fibre-optic cables. Some worked with Apple iPhones but mine with the 44-inch long cable worked with Android phones. It would be nice to view it on my phone and not have to find a Puter to plug it into. I decided that was sufficient for my purposes. However, it means that I have to take my long rifle to my small office to borescope it.
I haven't tried to make a video. I'm not sure what program I need to use on my PC to record one.

On my boroscope app, there are buttons to push for video, still image. They are saved into the phone pictures. Then I just transfer them to the computer via a transfer app.

New England Militia Musket dated 1833.
Some pics then the boroscope and removal of some paper

I got the rest done but there seems to be no interest so will just put them on my own website.
