Boiled Milk Rolls
1 qt New milk
1 qt flour
2 tsp salt
2 Tblsp lard, 1/4 cup homemade yeast...
butter
Boil milk, then let cool. Stir in half the flour, all the yeast and salt, then the lard, and mix. When dough is too stiff to stir, turn out on floured table or breadboard and knead in additional flour until soft dough is formed. Grease bowl, turn additional flour until soft dough is formed. Grease bowl, turn dough to grease top, and let rise in warm place for 2 hours or until about doubled in size. Return to breadboard, beat down and work in remaining flour until smooth. Mold into rolls and place in greased baking pan for second rise, again until doubled in size. Grease tops again. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes.

If I hadn't created a disaster with my right triceps while splitting firewood I would bake this tonight. I'm icing my arm for my dear Wendy fears a Deep Vein Thrombosis. Hideous bruising beneath my right armpit with pain and traumatic edema halfway down the fore-arm. Appetizing description, eh? Tingling in fingers. Wish me luck. I'm eating reheated soup leftovers from yesterday!

made a hot apple toddy with an altered recipe... excellent pain reliever.

2 cups Musselmann's applesauce
four heaping tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

combined in saucepan and heated to bubbling, remove from heat.

1/2 pint Jim Beam stirred in.

sipping a coffee mug full as I type and prepare for arm elevation and ice-packs.

Have you seen a doctor? this sounds serious!

not to worry NLight, wife Wendy is a very experienced Rehab Therapist... (formerly known as Occupational Therapist/Registered-Licensed ... more recently designated Doctor of Occupational Therapy) with more than thirty years experience. I am married to the very best in care. And she loves me.
