Belgian conversion muskets

So Ive read a variety of comments on how long these muskets were used during the civil war. Anywhere from just 1st Manassas and no longer, to well into the war. So what do you all think? I'm looking for a musket to add to my collection. I want a gun that was used, not one that sat in an armoury somewhere in the north or the South. If they weren't used for long, then I might find another model to search for. Any thought. Thanks

Grant offered some opinions on their lack of utility, so the Belgian muskets were in use. There are better choices such as the US model conversion muskets and other smoothbore pumpkin slingers, in my opinion. More likely to have US Civil War use, too.

Sorry my terminology might be wrong. I guess I'm asking about the cone in barrel conversions of M1816-M1840 muskets, not Belgian muskets that had been converted. I've seen plenty of pictures of soldiers North and South with them early on, just didn't know what the number s looked like in 1863 or 1864 even. I don't have a huge amount to spend, so I want a representative gun that could have been used thoughout the war.
