This is another old recipe from my family. It is delicious on toast and biscuits and English muffins

4 large bananas (2 1/2 to 3 cups), mashed
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cloves

Peel bananas; cut into chunks and sprinkle with lemon juice. Mash in blender. Combine with sugar and spices in a large saucepan. Bring to boil and then simmer, stirring constantly for fifteen minutes. Cool, after pouring into jars. Store in refrigerate. Will keep several weeks. Makes 2 1/4 cups.
