Properly preparing tea in the home was one of the few domestic tasks that even 19th century aristocratic women would not delegate to servants. @John Hartwell's delightful thread, "Tea Time for All," brought this recipe to mind.

Autumn Tea:

Ingredients:
5 Tea Bags
5 Cups Boiling Water
5 cups unsweetened apple juice
2 cups cranberry juice
1/2 cup sugar or more to taste
1/3 cup lemon juice
1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
A dash of cinnamon

Directions:
Place the tea bags in a large heatproof bowl.

Add boiling water.

Cover and steep for 8 minutes.

Discard tea bags.

Add the remaining ingredients; stir until sugar is dissolved.

Serve warm.

I'm sorry you aren't feeling well today Ashley. I've had a difficult week following my surgery on Monday. Maybe we both need a spot of tea.

Oh Honey, I'm equally as sorry you've had a rough week! Yes, let's do have a cup! I bet we'll feel right as rain in no time!

How nice seeing this recipe show back up today. I have been under the weather for a few days and tea is perfect for when you are not feeling well.
