Officers of the 17th, I saw on Facebook

Sack from my buddy Joseph $70 (Hand made)

Shirt from my buddy David $40 (Hand made)

Drawers from my buddy David $30 (Hand made)

Hardee from Tim Bender $120
or
Forage cap type II from Sekela $95

US belt from Missouri Boot & Shoe $25

US tarred haversack from Missouri boot & shoe $55

Brogans from Robert Land ( through research I got more $115
posotive reviews on Land's brogans than Fugawee)

Suspenders from Missouri Boot & Shoe $19

Canteen from Regimental Quartermaster, Cincinatti depot $49

I need a blanket, but my captain will try to find some deals,
do you know of any for a descent price?

It's been approved by Company command, just
wondering if it'll make a descent first full uniform?

It's all quality vendors. I'm a big fan of Tim Bender & MB&S. Regt QM has the campaigner corenr which has always been good. Another suggestion is to look hard at what Stony Brook has on their Consignment page and their trousers really are first rate.

If you are ever in Gettysburg, you could stop by the shop in front of the Military Museum at the bottom of Culp's Hill and talk to Spiros. He can point you to craftspeople who painstakingly sew/craft reenactor gear. But the high end reproductions are not cheap. He might have a first or second-hand item that you are looking for at an affordable price. If there is an item that you have questions about its correctness, he likely knows the answer because he grew up climbing over the real stuff even in his bedroom as a kid.

I have trousers for the impression the NCOs suggest keep wearing.
It's a dark blue one that they say works for US & CS.
When I look next for trousers my top picks are Waumbaugh kits or if my
buddy Joesph can make them, then from him.

I have looked at Stony Brook & thanks for the reccomendation.

They are right...Confederate impressions can be tough...ever changing based on year and theater, ANV or AOT. Dark Federal blue with Confederate Gray or even the butternut always looks better than those "yankee blue" trousers. LOL (just my very southern opinion)

Very interesting photo. I can't help but notice how their clothing fits/drapes. The groups around here, that I have seen, don't tend to have that look of ill-fitting uniforms.

SC troops were still issued Dark Blue uniforms even into 1863.
Some people think the CS forces wore Dark Blue no farther than
1st Manassas.
In fact at Chickamauga US troops were caught off guard when a CS unit dressed in Dark Blue
approached their positions. The Yanks mistook them for reenforcements, but when the Rebs opened fire
they recognized their mistake.

( I think it was at Chickamauga,
please correct me if i'm wrong. )
